This is when approximately two out of four (26.4%) of the residential units were built in Crawford Plains. Most of the homes were constructed in the 1980s when close to three out of five (58.2%) were built. The 1990s saw the remaining 14.4% built.

The neighbourhood is located at the west boundary of 50 Street, Mill Woods Road East shares its north boundary, bounded to the east by 34 Street, and to the south is the Anthony Henday Drive.
Crawford Plains had a recorded population of 4,394 people living in 1,477 dwellings in 2012 according to the City of Edmonton’s municipal census. This was a 0.4% increase from the last measured population of 4,410 in 2009. Crawford Plains has a land area of 0.59 km2 (0.23 miles2), having a population density of 7,447.5 people/km2 in 2012.
