Most of the construction occurred in the neighbourhood in the 1970s. Approximately three out of five (62.4%) of the residential homes were built in this decade. It has been reported that just over a quarter (26.2%) were developed in the 1980s and just under one out of ten houses (8.2%) were built in the 90s.
The neighbourhood has a mixture of single-family homes, townhouses, and duplex builds according to the 2005 municipal census. Almost half (47%) of all residences are single family dwellings. One in five (20%) account for duplexes, while around four out of every twenty-five (16%) are categorized as townhomes. The remaining 16% of the residential units are describes as “other” styles of residences. There are no reported apartments in this community. The one school in the area is Meyonohk Elementary School and operated by the Edmonton Public School System.
Meyonohk had a population of 2,942 living in 1,129 dwellings according to the City of Edmonton’s 2012 municipal census, a 0.9% decrease from the population of 2,969 recorded in 2009. The land area measures 0.87 km2 (0.34 square miles), having a population density of 3,381 people/km2 in 2012.
